Essential Online Safety Tips
Beware of anyone asking for money for any reason (medical emergency, travel costs, customs duty, etc.). RishteyKaro will never ask you to transfer money to another user. If someone asks, block them immediately.
Do not share your personal phone number, email, or address immediately. Use the RishteyKaro chat feature to get to know the person first. Scammers often try to move you to WhatsApp or email quickly to avoid detection.
Photos can be fake. Arrange a video call to verify that the person matches their profile photos before you decide to meet in person. If they make excuses repeatedly, it's a red flag.
- Always meet in a crowded public place (Coffee shop, Mall).
- Inform a friend or family member about your plans.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Do not leave your food or drinks unattended.
How to Block/Report?
If someone is bothering you or looks suspicious, you can block them instantly:
- Go to the user's Profile.
- Click on the Three Dots icon (Options).
- Select "Block Profile".
Note: Blocked users cannot message you.
